Milliken Announces Dates For 2008 Laundry Sales Seminar

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (July 15, 2008) — Milliken & Company will host its annual Laundry Sales seminar at its Spartanburg, S.C., headquarters September 28 - October 2, 2008.

The seminar attracts general managers, sales managers and sales representatives from around the world and takes them through various sales techniques used in the textile rental industry. Guest speakers provide real-life scenarios designed to increase attendee knowledge, awareness of customers' needs and increase motivation.

Presentations on topics such as leadership and behavioral styles, targeted account selling, achieving peak sales, "going green," future trends, and more will be given, as will plant tours of Milliken's Pendleton finishing plant, its Judson yarn formation plant and its Gerrish weaving facility.

"The seminar is a great learning experience and networking tool," said Heath Maughon, manager of Milliken's Laundry Service Team. "Attendees learn a lot from the classes and are able to interact with their peers from throughout the industry. They always take something away from our seminar that helps their business. There is no charge for the seminar, however, attendees are responsible for transportation costs to and from Spartanburg. All lodging, meals and transportation during the seminar are provided by Milliken.
